I am a psychotherapist with a private practice in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. I specialize in working with adults who seek recovery from the aftereffects of trauma. My expertise is posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and brief, evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapies for PTSD. I meet with people as individuals or groups, or with their spouses, partners, or family members.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I am a Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD trainer and consultant, teaching CPT to mental-health professionals in the United States and Canada. For more than a decade, I worked with veterans with PTSD at VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, CT. A graduate of Smith College School for Social Work, I am currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine, and an Adjunct Lecturer at NYU Silver School for Social Work.
